Bill Wise, Local 20/20 in Jefferson County (WA), talks about making the Port Townsend EarthDay, EveryDay event (April 22) carbon netural.

Local 20/20 is a citizen-based organization dedicated to exploring opportunities in our local community to promote economic self-reliance, environmental stewardship, and community well-being. The name refers to 20/20 vision... such as planning for the quality of life in our community in 2020.... as well as a variety of other individual meanings.

Brendon O'Shea, Produce Buyer Port Townsend Food Coop, talks about compostable, biodegradable plates, bowls and utensils.

The biodegradable utensils are made from 80% non-GMO corn starch and 20% other biodegradable fillers and can handle hot foods and liquids up to about 190-200 degrees F.
